23-year-old Dani Ray Brown escaped from Putnam County Prison in Florida in the early hours of April 15, 2009, along with fellow inmate 25-year-old Timothy Fletcher. Authorities discovered a missing car and later found the car's owner dead in her home. The victim is believed to be related to one of the escaped inmates, leading police to believe that the inmates were involved in the death.
The men are also suspected of stealing multiple cars since their escape, including a 1992 Ford crew-cab pickup from a residence about one mile from the prison.
