Deutsche Bank filed suit against Donald Trump in late November 2008 claiming that he was in default in the amount of $40 million on a $640 million construction loan obtained from the bank. Aside from making sporadic appearances as himself in films and television shows, Trump hosts the reality series The Apprentice, where contestants perform various business tasks in the hopes of running one of Trump's properties. Whenever a contestant fails to meet his standards, he excuses them from the competition with his trademark slogan, "you're fired."
His public persona has become the target of some critics, including Rosie O'Donnell, who Trump publicly feuded with in late 2006.
