Don Gibson is a country singer/songwriter. He first and biggest hit was "Oh Lonesome Me" in 1957. Gibson was admitted to the Nashville Songwriters Hall Of Fame in 1973 and Country Music Hall of Fame in 2001.

In 1948, Gibson was a part of the band Sons of the Soil, and made his first recording with them. However, it was not until 1957 that he recorded his first hit with RCA. -
