  • Dominique Wilkins is a retired NBA player. He spent 12 of his 17 seasons with the Atlanta Hawks. Dubbed the "human highlight reel," Wilkins made the All-Star game 9 times, was voted rookie of the year in 1983, and played on the 1992 Dream Team.

    Dominique Wilkins was a key part to the Atlanta Hawks' success during the 1980s. In addition to being a high scoring threat, Wilkins also put up good all around numbers in rebounds and assists. During his career, the nine-time All-Star scored 26,669 points and pulled down 7,169 rebounds, ranking him ninth all-time in career scoring.

    Wilkins is also famous for winning two NBA Slam Dunk Contests in 1985 and 1990. His trademark was a powerful windmill dunk. His battles with Michael Jordan in the dunk contests are considered to be some of the best of all time.
