Dominique Monceanu married former collegiate gymnast Michael Canales on November 4, 2006, in Houston. 175 guests attended the traditional Romanian Orthodox ceremony. She wore a Oleg Cassini strapless satin wedding gown while her bridesmaids were dressed in plum. The couple first met in 1994 at the Junior National Championships and began dating in 2001.
