Dominick Dunne was a writer for Vanity Fair who covered several high-profile trials including the 1995 O.J. Simpson trial and the Menendez Brothers trial. Dunne has also written several true crime books.
On August 26, 2009, Dunne passed away in New York City at the age of 83. He had been battling cancer for several years, and was famously hospitalized while covering the O.J. Simpson trial in Las Vegas in 2008.

Recently released on DVD After The Party is a documentary of Dominick Dunne's life and illustrious career. The film includes interviews with legendary Paramount Pictures producer Robert Evans, Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter and gossip columnist Liz Smith.
