Origin
Raised in an abusive household, Otto Octavius was often the victim of his father's outrage. His mother wanted him to be softer, and encouraged him to focus on his studies. After his father's death, increasing his vast intelligence became an obsession, often ostracizing him from his peers. He studied to become a nuclear physicist, and invented a pair of mechanical arms he could control with his mind. A nuclear accident left the arms permanently fused to his body, resulting in his eventual nickname: Doctor Octopus. Marvel: Doctor Octopus-
