Dr. Leonard Samson, known as Doc Samson, is a fictional character featured in The Hulk-related comics published by Marvel.
Background
Doc Samson is Bruce Banner's psychiatrist and, like Banner, he acquired superhuman strength from gamma ray exposure. But similar to the biblical character of the same name, Samson's strength is proportional to the length of his green hair.
In his various sessions with Banner, Samson managed to split Banner and the Hulk into two separate beings but had trouble containing the Hulk after separation. Samson often found himself at odds with other Marvel superheros in pursuit of the monster.
In the 2008 film The Incredible Hulk, Samson is played by Ty Burrell.
