DJ Hero is a music simulation video game developed by FreeStyleGames and published by Activision which was released in North America on October 27, 2009 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, and the Wii.
Utilizing a controller that looks like a record turntable, the game crosses numerous music genres and features over 80 remixes, and more than 100 songs.
Players score points by mimicking the actions on-screen to crossfade between songs and scratch the turntable.

The Controller
DJ Hero was in development for nearly two years. The controller features a platter for scratching and functions similarly to the strummer on the Guitar Hero controller.
