  • DJ AM, who's real name is Adam Goldstein, was an entertainment DJ and a former member of the band Crazy Town. He passed away on August 28, 2009.     He was born in Philadelphia, PA, and had performed regularly with Travis Barker of Blink 182 while appearing on MTV's Punk'd and Video Music Awards.

    On September 19, 2008, DJ AM was critically injured in a plane crash. Both he and Travis Barker were on board a Learjet that crashed in South Carolina after a performance. The crash left four people dead. DJ AM and Barker suffered severe burns.     DJ AM revealed that he would have been a victim of a second plane crash in February of 2009 had he not bailed out of boarding the Continental flight that crashed in Buffalo claiming 49 lives after feeling apprehensive about the flight.TMZ: Spared From Second Plane Crash (March 11, 2009)
  • Lawsuit

    In December 2008, DJ AM filed suit against the pilots of the Learjet that crashed in September 2008, of which he was a passenger. DJ AM claims that the pilots, Sarah Lemmon and James Bland, "negligently aborted takeoff" causing the plane to crash. Both pilots perished in the crash.
