Dixie Stampede is a "Dinner and Show Extravaganza" that was founded in 1988 by Dolly Parton in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Today there are three locations; the original in Pigeon Forge, one in Branson, Missouri, and a third location in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Each location features a four-course meal, audience participation, special effects, amazing stunts, and horse feats, magic, and much more.http://www.dixiestampede.com/showtime.php
Dolly Parton opened the first Dixie Stampede next to her Dollywood theme park, wanting to "recreate the family fun of her childhood, when she and her family would gather for a friendly competition and enjoy a more-than-filling meal." Today, the show is one of the most popular of its kind in the U.S., entertaining families from all over the nation.http://www.dixiestampede.com/showtime.php
