As a player completes gigs, they gain cash and experience in Diva Life. As their experience points accumulate and the player rises a level, the reward amounts increase. There are four gigs to complete on each level. Once all four gigs are completed for a level, the player unlocks the bonus gig for a reward. Once each level is completed, the player progresses to the next level for even larger gig payoffs.

If a player runs out of energy points, they can visit the Marilyn tab. This tab allows the player to trade points for full refills on moxie, reputation, or energy. Players can also get money, a new name, another advisor, or extra player for the game in their entourage. These points, which are used on this tab, are earned throughout gameplay, but a few are provided at the start of the game.

Players access Diva Life's plaza to purchase items necessary for gamplay and gig completion.

Each time a player completes a level, they are awarded four lifestyle points. These points can be distributed amongst style, poise, max energy, max moxie, or max reputation. Items will raise style and poise, while reputation climbs on its own. Having a lot of moxie will enable you to compete against other players in runways shows, but it does not pay off with much money or experience. It is better to put all available life style points on max energy so the player can complete more gigs to get more cash and experience points.

Purchasing property in the game will allow the player to gain cash at an accelerated rate. Banking cash after purchasing properties and expending all of the energy is always a good idea.
