The Magic Kingdom is a theme park located in the Walt Disney World, in Orlando, Florida. The park was the first to open at the Walt Disney World resort, on October 1, 1971, designed as a larger version of the Disneyland park in Anaheim, California. Construction on the Magic Kingdom began in 1967, one year after the death of Walt Disney. Magic Kingdom Lands
Main Street, U.S.A
Main Street, U.S.A. is the first land visitors reach upon entering the Magic Kingdom. The land features a train station, situated at the front of the park. This train carries passengers throughout the entire Magic Kingdom, making various stops along the way. The theme of the land is 20th century, middle American town, featuring city hall and a number of buildings and storefronts.

Adventureland
Adventureland has a jungle theme, designed in the likeness of jungles of Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and South America. The land's attractions are inspired by 1930's jungle expeditions. The Magic Kingdom's Adventureland is separated into two parts, the Arabian Village and Caribbean Plaza.

Disney Passports
Breaking news…we just announced during Disney’s annual shareholders meeting that a new premium annual pass for admission to the parks at both Disneyland Resort and the Walt Disney World Resort will be offered beginning Thursday. It’s called “Disney Premier Passport” and it’ll feature the same benefits you get with the “premium” annual passes for Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts for $700, plus applicable- sales tax.
So, what’s in it for you? At Walt Disney World:
Unlimited admission for a period of one year to all four Walt Disney World Theme Parks, including the ability to visit multiple parks on the same day. Unlimited admission to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach Water Parks Unlimited admission to DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive Theme Park, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex (valid only on event days; some events require an additional admission charge) and Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course (greens fee only. Fantasyland Expansion set for 2013 completion
Work is beginning on the expansion of Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom Park. And as the transformation begins, there are some updates you should know about.
Beginning April 12, Ariel’s Grotto, Scuttle’s Landing snack location and Pooh’s Playful Spot will be closing. You’ll still be able to find several of your favorite Disney Characters in some other locations and continue to experience other favorite Fantasyland attractions –- in their normal locations. Ariel will continue to be seen in the Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade and SpectroMagic Parade at Magic Kingdom Park as well as at the Voyage of The Little Mermaid attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Ariel will have a new grotto greeting location and ride-through attraction called Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid as part of the Fantasyland expansion scheduled for 2013.
