Disney's It's a Small World is a boat ride that is fun for all ages, located in the Magic Kingdom Park at the Walt Disney World Resort outside of Orlando, in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The theme song for Disney's It's A Small World was created in the mid 1960's by staff composers, Robert and Richard Sherman. They were working on music for the film Mary Poppins at the time when Walt approached them with the "It's a Small World" idea. The instant success of the cheerful roundelay was attributed to a technique the Shermans used called counterpoint in which a chord is repeated several times, to different melodies.
