Setup and Game Play
Diplomacy is played on a map of pre-World War I Europe. The map is divided into 75 sections and there are seven powers. Each player draws a power randomly and receives three army pieces except for Russia which receives four. Each turn represents a season and is timed, taking half an hour the first round and fifteen minutes each round after that. During the round the players discuss with each other and then write down their next turns to be preformed simultaneously. -
