  • Professional football fullback Dionte Johnson most recently was a member of the Arizona Cardinals in the National Football League.

    Johnson was waived by the Cardinals in August of 2008 after he suffered an ankle injury and did not play with the team in the 2008 regular season.

  • College Football Career

    Johnson made his college football debut with the Ohio State Buckeyes in 2004. After playing just six games during his rookie season, Johnson joined the Buckeyes for 11 games in 2005 and 13 games in 2006, playing on special teams, specifically kickoff returns. He continued as a starter during his senior year in 2007, playing in short yardage and goal line situations.     Dionte Johnson is the son of Thomas "Pepper" Johnson, who played in the NFL from 1986 to 1998 for the New York Giants, Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions and New York Jets. Pepper Johnson also currently serves as the defensive line coach for the New England Patriots.
