Basketball Career

Christmas was a standout player in high school, averaging 26.5 points per game in 2003-04 and 18 points per game in 2004-05. He joined the Temple Owls in 2005, playing in 32 games his freshman season. Christmas saw improved playing time in the 2006-07 season, starting 29 of 30 games and leading the team with 34.3 minutes per game. He earned several awards including All-Atlantic 10, the Cy Kaselman award, as the free throw percentage leader, and the Palumbo award, as the scoring champion.Temple Athletics: Dionte Christmas

Continuing as a starter for the Owls in the 2007-08 season, Christmas helped the team win the Atlantic 10 Tournament, averaging a career-high 20 points per game.
