Dioner Navarro is a Major League Baseball player. He is currently a catcher for the Tampa Bay Rays.

Early Life

Dioner Favian Navarro was born in Caracas, Venezuela, on February 9, 1984. In 2000, he was signed by the New York Yankees as a free agent.

Pro Career

On September 7, 2004, Navarro made his Major League Baseball debut with the New York Yankees. In 2005, he was traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks in a package for Randy Jackson and then immediately traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers for Shawn Green. He was traded again in 2006, this time to the Tampa Bay Rays. In 2007, Navarro appeared in 119 games and compiled a .286 batting average with 9 home runs and 44 runs batted in.
