Dino Rossi was the Republican candidate for United States senate for the state of Washington in 2010. Rossi was elected to and served in the Washington State Senate from 1997 through 2003. He is noted for his role in serving on the Senate Ways and Means Committee and being instrumental in creating a balanced budget without raising taxes or compromising his constituents. He also ran close bids for the Governors seat in 2004 and again in 2008. Rossi challenged incumbent governor Chris Gregoire for the position in 2008. Dino Rossi was born in Washington and grew up in the Snohomish County area.
