Dick Vermeil is a retired National Football League head coach who has worked with the Kansas City Chiefs, St. Louis Rams and Philadelphia Eagles. He has also been a football analyst for CBS and NBC. Dick Vermeil coached at UCLA prior to coaching in the NFL. He began his NFL coaching career with the Philadelphia Eagles in 1976. In 1978, he lead the Eagles to the playoffs, and their first winning season since 1966. In 1981, the Eagles played in their first Super Bowl with Dick Vermeil as the head coach.
