Actor and comedian Dick Van Dyke began performing in the 1950s. His career includes work both on television, on stage and in feature films. He starred in Walt Disney's 1964 Academy Award winnning film Mary Poppins as Bert the chimney sweep. In 1993 he played the role of Dr. Mark Sloan on the CBS series Diagnosis: Murder. In 1961 he played Rob Petrie on The Dick Van Dyke Show, which ran until 1966. Mary Tyler Moore played his wife Laura Petrie.
