  • Former professional football running back Dick Jauron serves as the head coach for the Buffalo Bills of the NFL. He attained the head coaching spot after a stint with the Chicago Bears where he got acknowledged as coach of the year in 2001.

    Despite reports that Jauron signed a three-year contract extension with the Bills in October of 2008, his status after the 2008 season was up in the air. However, on December 30, 2008, Bills Owner Ralph C.   • Brief Biography

    Dick Jauron was an all-American running back at Yale. He went on to have a successful seven-year career in the NFL, before a knee injury ended his run in the league. He quickly moved on to coaching, becoming the secondary coach for the Buffalo Bills in 1985. In 1999, Jauron made his debut as head coach with the Chicago Bears. In the 2001 season, he lead the team to a 13-3 record, which earned him AP Coach of the Year. He later decided to take a head coaching job with the Bills, and has been in Buffalo since.
