Diary of a Wimpy Kid is a children's book written by Jeff Kinney. The writing style changes between handwritten text and comic book style characters.

A young video game addicted Greg and his best friend are facing the hazards of trying to grow up before they are ready. Together they struggle to keep their friendship as they grow apart and try to retain their identity while avoiding military school.
