A diaper bag is a large bag with many pockets that is used to carry all of baby's essentials readily at hand when away from home. They are available in all shapes, sizes, colors and price ranges. Diaper bags are available in many styles, including back pack style, large sized, small sized for easy transport, some feature wheels or large handles along with looking more rugged to meet the needs of men. Many designers have began to make their own lines of diaper bags, including Kate Spade, Coach and Ralph Lauren.

In 1977, a lawsuit was filed against Macy's by Gucci for trademark infringement. They were found guilty of selling diaper bags with green and red bands and the wording "Gucchi Goo."
