Diane Lane is an actress and former child star. She debuted on the big screen with A Little Romance in 1979 at the age of 13, and by the 1980s, appeared in two movies that featured a future all-star cast, The Outsiders and Rumble Fish.

Awards
Lane has been lauded by critics for many of her roles and has received several award nominations. In 1989, she was nominated for an Emmy for Lonesome Dove and in 2004 she was nominated for a Golden Globe for Under the Tuscan Sun. But one of her best-received roles was as Connie Sumner, a wife cheating on her husband, played by Richard Gere, in 2002's Unfaithful, which earned her both a Golden Globe and Oscar nomination for Best Actress.-
