  • Olympic medalist Diane Dixon told The New York Post that she had a "close personal relationship" with New York Governor David Paterson and that she had recorded secret telephone conversations with him.

Paterson, who assumed the New York Governor's office following Eliot Sptizer's resignation, admitted to having had several extra-marital affairs from 1999 to 2001.

Dixon reportedly received a call from Paterson shortly following the announcement of his affairs to ask "whether she was talking to the press."

A spokeswoman for Paterson insisted that Paterson was never romantically linked to the Dixon.
