Professional basketball player Diana Taurasi is a guard for the Phoenix Mercury of the WNBA. She represented the United States at both the 2004 and 2008 Summer Olympics.
Taurasi was arrested for DUI on July 2, 2009 in Phoenix. The police allege that she was stopped for speeding, and the officer smelled alcohol. College Career
Taurasi attended the University of Connecticut and led them to three consecutive championships. During one of the championship games, when asked about the probability of winning, her coach said about their opponent: "We have Diana, and you don't."
WNBA Career
Taurasi was selected as the first overall draft pick in 2004 by the Phoenix Mercury and won the rookie of the year award. In 2007, Taurasi led the Mercury to its first ever championship victory and became the sixth player in history to win a Olympic gold medal, a NCAA title and a WNBA title.
