Diana DeGarmo is an American singer and Broadway star. She was the second place finalist on American Idol Season 3, losing to Fantasia Barrino during the season finale.
Australian resident Tanya Maree Quattrocchi pled guilty to four charges of cyber-stalking DeGarmo, her roommate and her mother. Quattrocchi was sentenced to 26 months in prison on Friday May 29, 2009, by the Victoria state County Court. Stalker
Tanya Maree Quattrocchi of Australia was arrested for stalking DeGarmo and her roommate, she intercepted photos and private communications from DeGarmo's MySpace accounts, despite having already been arrested for the same crime. As of April 9, 2009, Quattrocci had been in jail for 70 days, and the judge denied bail, worried she would continue stalking DeGarmo. She appeared in the award-winning musical Hairspray until February, 2007. She released two singles, "Dreams" and "Emotional", from her 2004, debut album Blue Skies. She could most recently be seen on the CMT reality show Gone Country, alongside Bobby Brown, Maureen McCormick, Sisqo, Carnie Wilson and Twisted Sister's Dee Snider.Theater
Since she was a small child DeGarmo has been performing in theater plays and musicals. In 2005, she made her stage debut in a lead role at the American Musical Theater of San Jose, in a production of West Side Story, where she played Maria. She went on to make her Broadway debut in the musical Hairspray in February, 2006, as the nerdy Penny Pingle. She also had the lead role of Brooklyn in the national tour of Brooklyn: The Musical during the summer of 2006.-
