On August 31, 1997, Princess Diana and her partner Dodi Al-Fayed were killed in a fatal car crash in Paris, France.
Since the incident, many have hypothesized that there was a conspiracy surrounding the event and that the pair were intentionally murdered. Dodi Al Fayed's father Mohamed Al-Fayed has been among the most vocal of conspiracy theorists.
Various Inquests
The original 18-month French investigation concluded that the accident was caused by driver Henri Paul, who lost control of the car while impaired by antidepressants and alcohol. Conspiracy theories were again dismissed by two British investigations which concluded in 2004 and April 2008, which again listed Paul as the party responsible for the death.
