• While the official release date for Diablo 3 hasn't been announced yet, Destructoid is reporting that an unidentified source has said the release date will be December 24, 2009.

    Diablo 3 is the third installment in the Diablo game franchise and is the sequel to Diablo II. The game is set in a fantasy world known as Sanctuary. At the end of Diablo II the world was saved by a handful of unnamed heroes. However, warriors that survived the onslaught of the armies of the Burning Hells have gone mad from their ordeals, and it is up to a new generation of heroes to face the forces of evil threatening the world of Sanctuary.Wikipedia: Diablo 3

    Blizzard has said the game is a "true continuation" of the Diablo franchise and that "Players will adventure through rich and varied settings, unraveling an epic storyline, engaging in combat with hordes of monsters and challenging bosses, growing in experience and ability, and acquiring items of incredible power."

    The game will feature five character classes for the player to choose from. So far only three of the classes have been announced. They are:

    1. Barbarian
    2. Witch doctor
    3. Wizard

    Each class has its own unique skills and abilities. New customization options will provide for an even greater level of character specialization than the previous Diablo games.Official Site: Diablo 3 FAQ
