    Aoki was born in New York, though she was raised in California and London by her two successful parents: her father is the founder of the well-known Japanese food restaurant chain Benihana's, and her mother is a jewelry designer. Devon Aoki first started modeling when she was 13, and in her early career did various modeling jobs with Kate Moss. In 1998 Aoki became the main modeling face of Versace. She then branched out and starred in music videos, such as The Killers' “Bones,” Ludacris' “Act a Fool” and Elton John's “Something About the Way You Look Tonight.” Her most prominent and noteworthy role came in 2005's Sin City, in which she played as Miho, a highly skilled samurai prostitute.
