Wide receiver Devin Thomas plays professional football for the Washington Redskins in the National Football League.
In May of 2009, Thomas underwent laser eye surgery. Many speculate that his poor eye sight was the cause of his lackluster rookie season in 2008.
Early Years
Devin Thomas was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on November 15, 1986 and attended Canton High School, where he was a two-year starter for their football team.
College Career
Thomas went to a community college his freshman year and later transferred to Michigan State in his sophomore year. Thomas' junior year showed great improvement due to new Coach Dantonio's efforts and guidance. Thomas set a school record with 79 receptions, and was second in the Big Ten Conference with 1,260 yards. He averaged 6.6 yards per 27 carries. Coming off a great 2007 season, Thomas decided to enter the 2008 NFL draft, in which he was selected 34th overall in the second round by the Washington Redskins.
