Brown attended the University of Texas at San Antonio for four years as was the case in high-school, Devin would eventually become UTSA’s all-time leading scorer as well with 1,922 total points. His averages during his time at UTSA included 18 points, over 7 rebounds and nearly 3 assists per game. Along with the being the school’s all-time leading scorer, Devin Brown also became the only player at University of Texas at San Antonio to record a triple-double (33 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists) in a game against the Louisiana Monroe Indians. Brown’s other accomplishment during his time at UTSA include the following:
“Southland Conference Freshman of The Year” (1998-1999 season) “First-Team All Southland Conference” (three times) Only player in UTSA history to ever have his number retired http://www.nba.com/playerfile/devin_brown/bio.html
Devin Brown 2010 Season
Devin Brown began the 2009-2010 season with the New Orleans Hornets but was traded to the Chicago Bulls for center Aaron Gray on January 25th 2010. Prior to the trade, Devin Brown was averaging nearly 10 points per contest for the Hornets. This was an usual trade because the Bulls bought Brown to the team in order to add depth to the roster but Brown has not had a whole lot of playing time to showcase his game. Usually when that is the case, it means that either the team doesn’t plan on using him or that that there is enough depth at the position and not enough playing time to go around for everyone. If either of the above scenarios are correct, it wouldn’t be a total surprise if Devin Brown was on the roster in the 2010-2011 season. http://www.nba.com/playerfile/devin_brown/bio.html
