Devil's Crush is a digital pinball game that is themed around a medieval setting as demons and cults travel around the board. The game was developed by Naxat Soft and published Hudson.
The game was released in 1990 on the Turbo-Grafx-16 and on July 23, 2007 on the Nintendo Wii. This game is the second installment of the Naxat Pinball Crush series that takes the idea of pinball and adds video game functionality.
Gameplay
Devil's Crush has a 3-level pinball table that is decorated with medieval fantasy themes that is scattered with demons and satanic cults. The game itself plays very much like an actual pinball game in which the player launches a ball into the table and gets the ball to hit many bumpers in order to increase his score.
To keep the ball on the table, the player must use flippers and tilting to prevent the ball from falling into the bottom. When the player has certain bumpers activated, he will be allowed access to hidden pinball tables that will allow the player to gain extra points and possibly extra lives.
Some of the hidden tables include shooting pin balls at a 5 headed dragon or at 3 demonic skulls. http://www.hardcoregaming101.net/crushpinball/crushpinball.htm
Series
Devil's Crush is the 2nd installment of the Naxat Crush Pinball series. This installment plays identically to the other installments but uses a completely different theme from the others. It also adds a 3rd level to the pinball table and uses more bonus rooms than the prequel. Alien Crush, the predecessor, used an alien theme for the pinball tables.
The sequel, Jaki Crush, was released only in Japan and is themed around Japanese mythology and uses a 2-player mode. Alien Crush Returns goes back to the alien themes and adds a story mode, boss levels, and online leader boards.
