Deuce McAllister

  • Deuce McAllister was a Pro Bowl running back for the New Orleans Saints in the National Football League.

    In March of 2009, McAllister filed for bankruptcy protection for his Mississippi Nissan car dealership. Nissan claims McAllister owes more than $6.6 million after defaulting on a deal and exceeding his line of credit.   • Release From Saints

    Despite being under contract with the Saints through 2012, the team released McAllister on February 17, 2009.   • Doping Scandal

    In 2008, McAllister was among the players who tested positive for StarCaps, a diuretic banned by the NFL. He was later suspended four games by the league for the violation.   • Career

    McAllister was drafted by the Saints in the first round of the 2001 NFL draft. He rushed for more than 1,000 yards in his first three years with the team, a first in franchise history.

    During his short time in the NFL, McAllister has been one of the most prolific rushers in New Orleans Saints history, and was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2002 and 2003. Since Reggie Bush was selected by the Saints in the 2006 NFL Draft, McAllister has shared rushing duties with the Heisman Trophy winner.
