History
French officer Antoine de la Mothe Cadillac founded Detroit in 1701. It was first called "Fort Pontchartrain du Détroit," but during the French and Indian War in 1760, the name was shortened to Detroit. Detroit was the capital of Michigan from 1805 to 1847. Henry Ford built the first automobile in 1896, and in 1904 started the Ford Motor Company.Game Time
