Des’ree is a pop/R&B artist from South London. Her love for music began at the age of 14. Her first introduction to the music industry came in 1992 when she sang a duet with Terence Trent D'Arby. The song, Delicate, would become a Top 10 hit in the U.K but did not make Des’ree known in the United States.
It wouldn’t be until her sophomore album, I Ain’t Movin', released in 1994, that Des’ree became known across the pond. Her hit single, You Gotta Be, would spend 80 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart and the single’s video would be the most played on Vh1. It would also become part of the tribute album for Diana, Princess of Wales. I Ain’t Movin' would sell over 16 million copies worldwide and went platinum.http://www.artistdirect.com/artist/bio/desree/422700
