  • Several Filipino groups are outraged after a slur about doctors from the Phillipines was uttered during a scene from the ABC television show Desperate Housewives. In the scene from the Season Premiere, the character of Susan Delfino, played by actress Teri Hatcher, asks a doctor about his credentials stating, "OK, before we go any further, can I check those diplomas? Because I would just like to make sure they are not from some med school in the Philippines."
