  • Desperado is a crime drama written, directed and edited by Robert Rodriguez. It was released on August 25, 1995. Desperado is the sequel to El Mariachi and stars Antonio Banderas as musician El Mariachi. Mariachi is a musician who gets mistaken for a hitman tries to avenge the murder of his girlfriend. The movie also stars Salma Hayek, Quentin Tarantino, Steve Buscemi and Cheech Marin.

  • Plot Synopsis

    Desperado tells the story of El Mariachi, played by Antonio Banderas. Mariachi is out for revenge on a drug lord named Bucho, played by Joaquim de Almeda, who killed his girlfriend. Mariachi was a guitar player until Bucho shot him through his hand. While looking for Bucho, Mariachi meets a bookstore owner named Carolina, played by Salma Hayek, who quickly becomes his ally.
