Desmond Howard is a retired National Football League player. While attending the University of Michigan, he won the 1991 Heisman Trophy, awarded to the best player in college football. Later in the pros, he was named the Most Valuable Player of Super Bowl XXXI, helping the Green Bay Packers defeat the New England Patriots. He is currently serving as a contributing analyst for ESPN College GameDay.
