    Prior to playing in the NFL, Ward played college football , first with the Fresno State Bulldogs, then with Ottawa University in Kansas. At Fresno State, Ward recorded 179 carries for 1,091 yards and 11 touchdowns. He transferred to Ottawa University in 2003, totaling 263 carries for 2,061 rushing yards and 28 touchdowns.   • NFL Career

    Ward was signed by the New York Giants off of the New York Jets practice squad in 2004. He made his professional debut with the Giants that same year, playing in five games. Ward saw increased playing time in 2005, recording 35 carries for 123 yards.
