Brief Biography
A high school standout at Lakeview High in Garland, Texas, Dockery opted to play for the Texas Longhorns. At Texas, he was an accomplished lineman, receiving multiple honors and being voted as a consensus all-American in his junior year. He was also a finalist for the Outland Trophy in 2002, awarded to to he top interior lineman in college football.
Dockery declared himself eligible for the NFL draft in 2003 and was chosen by the Washington Redskins in the third round. Making his debut in 2003, Dockery played in all 16 regular season games, starting 13 of those. He went on to play three additional seasons with the Redskins, starting in every game each season. Dockery entered the free agency in 2007 and signed with the Buffalo Bills. He continued as a starter, playing all 32 games over two seasons in Buffalo.
