Derrick Brooks is a National Football League linebacker who most recently played with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Brooks was released by the Buccaneers on February 25, 2009, after 14 years with the team.

College Football Career
Brooks began his career playing college football with the Florida State Seminoles in the NCAA. He played at both safety and linebacker, recording 274 tackles, 13 pass deflections, 8.5 sacks, five interceptions, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. After college, Brooks was selected 28th overall in the 1995 NFL draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
