Derek Hough is an professional dancer on the ABC television show Dancing with the Stars. He is also a founding member of the band Almost Amy which was originally formed with his sister Julianne Hough and Mark Ballas Jr. Derek performs vocals for the band and plays guitar. When sister Julianne left to pursue a country music career, Ballas and Hough added two new females to the band.

Hough was born in Salt Lake City in 1985 but moved to London where he lived with Ballas, who currently is a fellow Dancing With the Stars dancer. In January 2010, Hough made his Broadway Debut during the final performance of Burn The Floor. Dancing With the Stars

Derek Hough's DWTS history goes all the way back to season 5 when he was partnered with Jeannie Garth, former 90210 star. Garth and Hough danced their way to 4th place that season. In Season 6, Hough was paired with Shannon Elizabeth with the two making it to 6th place in the reality show. In the 2010 season of Dancing With the Stars, Hough was paired with PussyCat Dolls star Nicole Scherzinger and the pair won the competition. For the 11th season of Dancing With the Stars, Hough is partnered with previous Drity Dancing star Jennifer Grey.

• In 2002 Hough won the IDSF World Youth Latin Champion for Poland while performing with Aneta Piotrowska
• Derek Hough has previously been named LA Outstanding Dancer of the Year and the New York Dance Alliance Outstanding Dance recipient.
