• Denver, also know as the The Mile-High City, is the capital, as well as the largest city in Colorado. Mexican and Western foods seems to be the cuisines of choice in Denver, although with a city that large there are a variety of choices in a diversity of types. Denver is also one of cities in the United States that has banned smoking in restaurants and bars, so if you're a smoker, be prepared.
  • Fine Dining

Palace Arms, located in the Brown Palace Hotels & Spa, is one of Denver's well-rated, luxury dining choices. The hotel is situated in the Downtown district and offers four other dining experiences, non as well-rated as the Palace Arms though. Their menu focuses on a regional cuisine, with an extensive wine list. The New York Strip, lobster and "Colorado lamb is said to be "excellent." Jackets are not required, but are encouraged and reservations are strongly recommended.
  • Affordable Dining

For a nice sit-down, family-oriented meal, why not try Lime, "An American Cantina." Their menu is Mexican oriented and Tuesday's are even called "Taco Tuesday" because patrons can create their own, any kind for one dollar. The food is "simple" and "inexpensive," the drinks are cheap and tasty and the atmosphere is "festive." All meals are freshly made and there are always daily specials. There is even a private room for parties up to 25 guests.
