    The Museum's website has many different sections to view with subcategories in each that allow people perusing the site the opportunity to experience what the museum has to offer.

    At the museum you will find the Gates Planetarium which was founded in 1968 by the Gates Family Foundation. In addition, you will find the Phipps Auditorium which houses the IMAX theatre. It was built in 1940 but then modified in 1983 to make room for the theatre.

    On April 3, 2008, Al Roker aired his weather segments from various sections within the museum.
