Denny's is the largest full-service family restaurant chain in the United States. It serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and desserts 24 hours a day at most locations, and is famous for its large breakfasts, especially the Grand Slam, which consists of two pancakes, two eggs, two strips of bacon and two sausages.

Denny's aired its first Super Bowl commercial during the 2009 Super Bowl. In the commercial, the restaurant said it would give away breakfasts on February 3, 2009, from 6 a.m. to 2 pm. local time.
