On November 20, 2007, Dennis Quaid and Kimberly Buffington's newborn twins, Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace, we're placed in intensive care at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after receiving an accidental overdose of the blood thinner Heparin, along with another infant at the hosptial. Heparin Overdose
Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace were accidentally given 10,000 units of the blood thinner Heparin instead of the normal dose of 10 units. The drug is normally used to flush out an infant's IV lines as well as to prevent blood clots.
