The Danish team, controlled by the Danish Football Association has a brief history on the World Cup, having been present only three times.
The Danish team is generally acclaimed for its refreshing and enthusiastic play, but never reached beyond the quarter finals. In 1986, at their debut in Mexico, the Danish team qualified for the eighth finals, but were defeated by Spain, in a 1-5 defeat. Their next appearance in the World Cup wasn't until 1998, when they reached their best result ever: a spot in the quarter finals, in which they were defeated by Brazil.
They returned four years later, when England blocked their way to the quarter finals. Out of thirteen matches played on all three World Cups, seven matches were won, four were lost, and two matches ended in a draw.
Denmark did not qualify for the World Cup 2006, nor for the EC 2008. The biggest win of Denmark was their triumph at the 1992 European Championships, beating both the European champions (The Netherlands) in the semi-final, and the world champions (Germany) in the finals.http://www.besteuro2008.info/euro-1992.html
