Demons Took My Daughter is a flash game that can be played on various game sites online, including Facebook and Kongregate.com . The goal of the game is to rescue your daughter who has been kidnapped by evil (and adorable) demons.  The game is a hybrid platformer/defense game, and the first of its type developed by Nerdook Productions. 

There are multiple difference types of enemies you will face, including standard demons, fast demons, boss demons and demons immune to status effects.  The game begins with simple demons and progresses to more and more powerful demons as you make your way through the worlds.  The fast demons can be countered with your slow tower, and the immune demons require higher damage to take them out quickly.

During each level you will earn souls, which allows you to build towers to fight back the demon hordes.  You will have a limited amount of souls, so using them strategically is important.  The goal is to keep the demons away from your stuffed animal pile.  The demons must progress all the way across the level, pick up a demon and return to the portal.  If you kill a demon after it has picked up a stuffed animal, the animal returns to your pile on the far side of the screen.

Much of the strategy inherent in the game is based around which towers to use for which levels.  As an angel with a giant sword you are capable of doing damage, but not enough to beat back all the demons.  As you move around the screen you will automatically attack all demons within range.   The levels don’t change much, so what has worked previous will usually work later on in the game.  You’ll find that where you place towers, and how high will increase or decrease their usefulness.

Level 1

1. New Demon: Demon Imp
2. Build three arrow blocks on the far left in front of the portal
3. Stand atop the blocks and chop down any demons that get high enough
4. If any demons get past you jump down and kill them off with your sword
5. Block Unlocked: Wooden Block

Level 2

1. Build three arrow blocks on the far left in front of the portal
2. Stand atop the blocks and attack the demons that rise up
3. Build two more arrow blocks to maximum height as you get the souls
4. Jump down to the right and build two more arrow blocks facing the other direction
5. Block Unlocked: Sticky Block

Level 3

1. New Demon: Speed Demon
2. Build one arrow blocks on the far left in front of the portal
3. Build one Sticky Block
4. Build two more arrow blocks
5. Continue standing atop the blocks and attacking the demons
6. Build arrow towers up to your max height (1 more)
7. When the speed demons start appearing they’ll get past you, drop down to the left and build arrow blocks facing the right
8. Build a sticky block at the top of four arrow blocks
9. TIP: You can build blocks and move around with the game paused (spacebar)
10. Stay on top of the block towers and kill the demons as they climb up
11. Block Unlocked: Sleeper Block 

Level 4

1. New Demon: Sloth (boss type)
2. Begin the same was as last level, one Arrow block, Sticky block, Arrow block
3. Build a Sleeper Block, then another Arrow block
4. Stay atop the tower and kill any demons that get too close
5. When the speed demons show up drop down to the right and build two arrow blocks and a sticky blocks
6. When you can, build another sleep block and arrow block up to the max height
7. When Sloth shows up, follow him and keep chopping at him
8. The blocks should clean up the rest of the demons
